The Problem

When most people think of the Nfl, they think of one thing: violence. When people hear "NFL", they think of hard hitting barbarians flying across the field with no regard for human life. For years the NFL has accepted this hard hitting culture that brings fans across the country to their television screens any given Sunday. However, with the many problems surrounding the NFL, is this violent identity the right one to have? In the past few years the NFL has faced many problems in relation to domestic violence and head injuries suffered by players. With these issues in mind many fans are starting to show a dislike for the league and what it stands for. The fans of the league and how satisfied they are is the most important element in keeping the league running. Without the fans there is no league. If the NFL does not effectively adress these growing concerns, the league could be going down a self destructive path that they do not want to go down.
